Bogomolje - The Island of Hvar

Bogomolje

Bogomolje is very picturesque place, situated on the eastern part of the island of Hvar, 21 km away from the tourist place Sućuraj. 
The place is famous for it's ethnographical meanings, such as few preserved plateaus for the exertion of the scoop. There are two one of the most importance: the Perinea Head and the Radasinova Head.
Among the object of the rural architecture we have to distinguish the house of Mark Barbara with it's typical Dalmatian kitchen and a tipical ingle-fire place. There is also nice little church from the XVII. century made in baroque style.
The inhabitants are mostly occupied with agriculture such as olives, vinegar etc. In the center of Bogomolje there are two markets for shopping and other objects You need.
Sućuraj is the place on the eastern part of Hvar, and You can easily reach it with the ferry-boat (Drvenik - Sućuraj). Than, You follow the road for the place Bogomolje (21 km). In the center of Sućuraj there are few restaurants, the post, phone-cabins, the bus station and two large groceries.   Top of page

The Apartments Ivanković

The house of the family Ivanković is situated in the peaceful gulf Vele Gaćice - Bogomolje, only 10 meters from the sea and the beach.

The house dispose of 8 high-category apartments, and there are two types:

TYPE 1: for three persons, a kitchen with dining room, three-bedded room, terrace with sitting place;
TYPE 2: for about 13 persons or even more, it is a commodious apartment with two rooms with bathroom, two rooms with common bath, a big three-bedded room with it's own bath, two large kitchens and the big terrace with sitting place.

All the apartments and the rooms have the sea view and the adequate parking place.   map
