Accord to a many sources the
Island of Hvar belongs among the ten most desiderable tourist destinations
of the whole world. Thanks to it's cultural and historical heritage it is
the one of the most important tourist centers in the country of Croatia.
Hvar has very long tourist tradition, more than 130 years old.
Almost in every place on the island there are numerous cultural monuments
and objects such as fortresses, churches, one of the oldest theatres in
the Europe, the collection of the renaissance pictures, etc. Those
monuments and artistes testify about the ancient and very rich culture.
The Island of Hvar is the place with the most sunny days at the Adriatic
cost with 2716 sunny hours in the year.
Thousands of tourists and visitors came here during the year to enjoy the mild climate and taking the sun.
